Step 1: Set Up MPay Wallet (First-Time Users Only)
- If you already have an active MPay account, proceed to Step 2.
- Download and install the MPay app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Register for an MPay account or log in using your existing credentials.
- Complete MPay’s identity verification and security setup as required.
Step 2: Open the Global Remit App
- Launch the Global Remit mobile application.
- Log in using your registered username and password.
Step 3: Create a Transaction
- Select your beneficiary and tap Send.
- Choose the payment method “Pay by MPay” and tap Click Here.
- Review and Agree with the MPay authorization request.
- Tap Confirm Authorization to allow payment via MPay.
- You will be redirected back to Global Remit App to continue the transaction.
Step 4: Enter Transaction Details
- Enter the amount you wish to send.
- The system will automatically calculate:
- Converted foreign currency amount
- Applicable service fee
- If you have loyalty points, your current balance will be displayed.
Applying Loyalty Points:
- Mobile App: Points may only offset the service fee, up to the total fee.
- Service Counters: Points may offset service fee and/or principal, up to the total transaction amount.
- The system will automatically update:
- Original service fee
- Points applied
- Remaining fee payable via MPay or other payment method
- Complete required information:
- Source of Funds
- Purpose of Remittance
- Carefully review all transaction details, including the final payable amount.
- Tap Create Transaction to submit.
Step 5: Confirm Payment
- Tap Confirm Pay using MPay.
- Authenticate using your selected security method (PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition, depending on your device settings).
Step 6: Transaction Completion
- An SMS confirmation will be sent once the transaction is successful.
- You may view the transaction status under History or Pending Transactions in the app.
Important Notes
Service Availability (24/7 Access)
GRC’s mobile application is generally accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing customers to submit remittance transactions at any time.
Temporary (Trial Period): Approval time is 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and may increase, subject to change.
Funds Processing: The time for funds to reach the beneficiary may vary depending on the destination country and the operating hours of partner banks or payout agents. Times may be longer than usual.
User Action: Ensure all beneficiary details are correct to avoid delays
Transactions submitted:
Outside business hours
During system maintenance
During technical disruptions or service interruptions
On public holidays (in MSAR or in relevant destination jurisdictions)
will be processed on the next working day or once services resume.
For such transactions, the exchange rate applied will be the rate available at the time the transaction is processed, which may differ from the rate displayed at the time of submission.
All remittance transactions remain subject to applicable compliance checks, regulatory requirements, system availability, and the operating hours of partner banks and payout agents.
