Terms and Conditions for Remittance Services - 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By using the remittance services provided by Global Remittances Company Limited (“GRC”), whether at GRC service counters or through GRC’s permitted electronic channels including the mobile application, the customer agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
- Remittance Services
1.1 Registration and Customer Identification
Any customer who intends to use the remittance services of GRC is required to complete a registration process either at GRC service counters or through GRC’s permitted electronic channels, together with the submission of valid original or electronic identity documents for verification purposes. Upon successful registration, each customer will be assigned a unique Customer Information File (“CIF”) number for conducting remittance transactions.
1.2 Customer Information Update
It is the customer’s responsibility to promptly notify GRC of any change to the information provided during registration and to submit any supporting documents as required by GRC.
1.3 Payment to Receiver
Payment of remitted funds to the receiver shall be made in the local currency of the specified destination country and may be subject to deduction of charges imposed by paying agents or overseas partners, if any.
1.4 Fees and Exchange Rates
The customer shall pay GRC a service fee for each remittance transaction. Applicable service fees and foreign exchange rates will be displayed at GRC service counters, on the mobile application, or on GRC’s website.
Displayed exchange rates are indicative only and may change. The final exchange rate applied will be the rate confirmed by GRC at the time the transaction is processed.
Transactions submitted outside GRC’s business hours, or during system maintenance, technical disruptions, or service interruptions, including Easy Transfer transactions, will be processed at the exchange rate applicable at the time of processing on the next working day.
1.5 Additional Information
GRC reserves the right to request any additional information or documentation that may affect or be required for the processing of a remittance transaction.
1.6 Delays, Non-Delivery and Refunds
GRC shall not be liable for any delay, failure, or non-delivery of remitted funds resulting from incomplete or incorrect information provided by the customer, force majeure events, system or network disruptions, actions of third-party service providers, or any circumstances beyond GRC’s reasonable control.
Where a remittance cannot be processed or delivered due to such circumstances and the customer requests cancellation, GRC shall refund the remitted amount net of any applicable charges already incurred.
1.7 Taxes and Charges
Any taxes, duties, or charges imposed by local or overseas authorities in connection with a remittance transaction shall be borne by the customer and may be deducted from the remittance proceeds.
1.8 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Macau Special Administrative Region (“MSAR”), and the customer submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of MSAR.
- Electronic Application, Mobile App Use and 24/7 Access
2.1 Electronic Application and Payment
Where electronic payment is made for any remittance application submitted to GRC, whether in person or through permitted electronic channels, the payer and the registered customer must be the same person. The customer agrees that all such electronic applications are subject to and governed by these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Service Availability (24/7 Access)
GRC’s mobile application is generally accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing customers to submit remittance instructions at any time.
Pay by Easy Transfer is processed 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. During the trial period, Pay by Mpay approval time is 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and may increase.
Transactions submitted outside business hours, during system maintenance, technical disruptions, service interruptions, or on public holidays (whether in MSAR or in relevant destination jurisdictions) will be processed on the next working day or when services resume.
For such transactions, the exchange rate applied shall be the rate available at the time the transaction is processed, which may differ from the rate displayed at the time of submission, in accordance with Clause 1.4.
All remittance transactions remain subject to applicable compliance checks, regulatory requirements, system availability, and the operating hours of partner banks and payout agents.
2.3 Electronic Acceptance and Records
The customer agrees that acceptance of these Terms and Conditions through electronic means, including via the mobile application, constitutes a legally binding agreement. Records maintained by GRC’s systems shall be admissible as evidence of such acceptance and of transactions conducted.
2.4 System Availability
GRC does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of its electronic systems and shall not be liable for any loss or delay arising from system maintenance, technical issues, network failures, or third-party service interruptions.
- Loyalty Points Program
3.1 Nature and Use
Loyalty points are promotional rewards issued at GRC’s discretion with no cash value.
Mobile app: points may only offset the service fee, up to the total fee, and cannot reduce the remittance principal.
Service counters: points may be applied toward the service fee and/or the remittance principal, up to the total transaction amount.
Points cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
3.2 Adjustment and Termination
Points applied to a completed transaction are deemed used. Points may be restored if a transaction is cancelled prior to completion. GRC may adjust, reverse, suspend, or terminate the program at any time in accordance with applicable laws.
- Complaint Handling
Customers may contact GRC’s customer service for comments, concerns, or complaints by telephone at (853) 2888 0001 or by email at customer.service@globalremittances.mo. Customer service is available during business hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
Telephone calls may be recorded for service quality, security, and compliance purposes. By contacting GRC via telephone, the customer consents to such recording.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
GRC reserves the right to reject, suspend, delay, or cancel any remittance transaction that is subject to financial sanctions, legal restrictions, incomplete information, or compliance concerns. GRC may request additional information or documentation from the customer in accordance with applicable Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism laws and regulations.
- Amendments and Miscellaneous
GRC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendment shall take effect and be binding upon the customer immediately upon notification to the customer or publication on GRC’s website or service counters. Continued use of GRC’s services after such notice or publication constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions. The amendments referred to herein shall be accepted by the customer if no written objection is received within 7 days after the aforesaid notice or publication.
